The battle between Yami and Dante was very fiecre.Both of them were equally strong in the battle but Dante had a great advantage because he was able regenerate his body.Yami had to surpass his limits again and again to keep up with him.
On the other side zenon had completely wiped out the golden dawn members,yuno and took their captain along with him.
How powerful is yami sukihero?
Yami is a powerful and experienced from the clover kingdom.He is one of the few arcane level mage who is capable to oppose the demons from another world.
Yami was a foreigner from another land he was swept away to clover kingdom in a boat and he was unable to return to his homeland because he was a foreigner he was treated very badly in clover kingdom but he doesn't care he keep moving forward and finally Julius discovered him and acknowledged his powers.He was recruited in the magic knights by Julius and later promoted to a squad captain.
Yami uses dark magic which is a very rare and powerful magic type,he can cloak his dark magic into his katana for close combat.He also uses destructive spells like dimension slash and death thrust.Yami is the only captain who can use Ki a technique which allows him to predict his enemies movements.

Who is dante?
Dante was a military member in spade kingdom until he decided to overthrow the royal government and become the king of spade kingdom.He is powerful mage who can use gravity magic.Dante is also the leader of dark triad and host of the most powerful demon Lucifero because he is the host of devil his powers become even more greater.He is able to lift and throw large masses of land, building and even mountains.
He was able to crush the black bulls members along with Asta without any trouble.The only person who was able to challenge him was the Captain of Black bulls Yami.

During his fight with dante,Yami was able to counter every move Dante made.He even destroyed a huge mass of land that dante throwed at him.Even dante was shocked seeing how powerful yami is.Yami was able to destroy dante's body using his new spell death thrust.But since dante is a devil host he was able to regenerate very quickly it was very tough for yami to handle him alone he required the anti-Magic powers of Asta to defeat him later yami along with asta's anti magic succeeded to defeated dark triad leader dante.
It was a very rough fight but both were not fighting in their full potential Dante didn't uses the full powers of the demon and Yami holds back because if he uses his full powers it could have also hurt black bull members.

Yami was already hurted very badly by Dante.He was about to bind dante,when suddenly zenon appeared and attacked yami with his bone magic giving him a serious wound.Then along with dante,yami and vengeance zenon disappeared in a portal.The members of Black bulls shedded in tears seeing Yami in that condition.
It was cleared by Natch the vice captain of black bulls that Yami and Vengeance are still alive and they need the powers of yami's dark magic and William world tree magic to succeed in their plan.The Dark triad plans to open a gate to Underworld which will connect the world of devils to human realm.If the gate connects with human world then Yami and William will die so,they have to stop dark triad before that happens.

The tree of Quiphoth acts as a portal that connects the human world with the world in which the devils reside.
To open the tree of Quiphoth the powers of the william vengeance's world tree and Yami sukihero's dark magic is required.If the tree of Quiphoth opens then both yami and willam will die,and after the abduction of yami and william there is a chance that they might die
In the latest chapters of manga,the ceremony of tree of Quiphoth is accelerated thanks to Morris and now the portal has opened (but not completely) and now two upper ranking demons Naamah and Lilith has appeared from the portal.
